Compiling

After sampling the reverberation, the sampled data should be compiled to form a reverb program so that it can be reproduced using the sampling reverb software.

You may perform compiling in a different place from the sampling site, such as a recording studio. However, we recommend that you perform compiling on site, immediately after sampling, especially when you have sampled reverberation of that place for the first time. By compiling the data, you can confirm the result of sampling and, if required, you can retry sampling under better conditions.

1 Start the DASK-S704 and show the initial display.

2 When sampled data is stored in a Memory Stick other than the DASK- S704, select “Change MS” in the menu section of the initial display, and change the Memory Stick.

(Skip this step if sampled data is stored in the Memory Stick in use.)

For details, see “Changing the Memory Stick” on page 26.

3 Turn the jog dial to highlight “Compile.”

You can compile your particular impulse response. For details, see “Compiling Your Particular Impulse Response” on page 25.

5 Turn the jog dial to highlight the sampled data you want to compile, then press the F4 key.
