1.Turn the tension knob counterclockwiseon the ribbon cartridge to tightenthe ribbonif it is slack.

2.Guidethe ribbonbetweenthe printhead andthe platen,makingcertain that the spindles on the cartridge holder fit into the sockets on the cartridgeitself.
