Inorderto downloadcharactemthisswitchmustbein the OFFposition.The printer then uses its RAM memory for storing character patterns and providesonlya one-lineprintbuffer.If youleavethisswitchON,theprinter usesitsRAMmemoryasaninputbuffer,allowingthecomputerto senddata fasterthan the printerprints.
