Like a typewriter, the print head prints through an ink ribbon. TRACTOR - This built-in unit sits in the rear of your printer, under the rear cover. Its sprocket wheels carry the sprocket-feed paper on its pathway through the printer.

PLATEN - This is the rubber cylinder that carries paper to the print head.
