Adapter
Thefollowing table lists and describes the properties that appear on the HL7 Recourse Action
pageof the Properties Editor accessed from the Connectivity Map. These properties dene the
actionsthe adapter takes when operations occur outside the congured constraints.

Name Description
Actionon No Response Theaction the adapter takes when no ACK is received from the external system in
theallotted time. The amount of time is determined by the Time To Wait For A
Responseproperty (see Communication Control). Select one of the following
options:
■Exit– The adapter terminates its connection with the external system and
shutsdown.
■Resend– The adapter attempts to resend the message to the external system.
TheResend option is only allowed when sequence numbering is in eect.
■Reset– The adapter closes its connection with the external system and goes
throughthe connection scenario.
Thisproperty is used for outbound Collaboration code.
Actionon Max No
Response
Theaction the adapter takes when it attempts to send a message to the external
systemthe maximum allowed number of times and does not receive any response
(HL7Application Acknowledgement) from the external system. The maximum
numbertimes the adapter sends a message without receiving a response is
determinedby the Max No Response property (see Communication Control).
Selectone of the following options:
■Exit– The adapter terminates its connection with the external system and
shutsdown.
■Reset– The adapter closes its connection with the external system and goes
throughthe connection scenario.
Thisproperty is used for outbound Collaboration code.
Actionon Max Failed
ReadRetry
Theaction the adapter takes after it has reached the empty read limit set by the
MaxEmpty Read Retry property. Select one of the following recourse options:
■Exit– The adapter terminates its connection with the external system and
shutsdown.
■Reset– The adapter closes its connection with the external system and goes
throughthe connection scenario.
Thisproperty is used for outbound Collaboration code.
