ªª Setting the date and time

Use the DATE/TIMEitem from the MENUto set the internal clock to the current time.

The unit uses its internal clock to include the date and time of the recording in its file.

The unit will function properly even if you do not make this setting. When you first put batteries into the unit, however, the clock will begin advancing from the default value of

2000-01-01/00:00:00 and this incorrect date and time will be added to recording files. (See “Setting the date and time” on page 45.)

Be sure to use file formats that this unit can play back. These formats include MP3 (32–320 kbps, 44.1 kHz) and WAV (44.1 kHz, 16/24-bit).

ªªConnect the computer

Use the included USB cable to connect the unit to the computer.

ªªTransfer files from the computer

Copy audio files to the MUSIC folder on the LR-10 drive that appears on the computer.

ªªDisconnect from the computer

After using the correct procedures to dismount the LR-10 drive from your computer, disconnect the USB cable. The unit should automatically turn off.

Step 2: Copy audio files from a computer

ªªPrepare the audio files

Create audio files using the functions of the computer operating system or other computer software applications.

Step 3: Select the input

Set INPUTto MICto use the built-in microphone to practice singing or playing a wind instrument, for example.

Set INPUTto LINEto use the LINE IN jack to practice playing a synthesizer or electronic piano.
