3–Preparation

Removing an SD card

Press the inserted SD card in slightly to eject it.

	CAUTION
••	Do not remove the SD card from the unit when it is
	connected to a computer by USB.
••	SD cards that meet SD/SDHC standards can be used with
	this unit.
••	A list of SD cards that have been verified to work with this
	unit is posted on the TASCAM website (http://www.tascam.
	com/).

Preparing an SD card for use

To use an SD card with this unit, you must format it by using this unit first.

1.Confirm that an SD card is inserted, and press and holdthe [ª] button on the top panel of the unit to turn the power ON.

2.If a new card or a card that was formatted by a different device has been inserted in the unit, the following pop- up message appears.

3.Press the Á button to start formatting.Remove the SD card if you do not wish to format it.

CAUTION

Formatting will erase all the data on the card.

4.After formatting completes, the Home Screen opens. You can also reformat a card with this unit at any time.
