Chromatic tuner mode (AUTO)

 

Oscillator mode

 

 

 

This is the default mode. Watch the tuning meter on the unit’s screen as you tune your instrument. AUTOappears in the upper right. The tuning meter and input signal pitch name appear on the screen. (---appears when there is no input).

1.Input the signal of the instrument that you want to tune. The name of the closest pitch appears in the upper part of the meter.

2.Tune the instrument until the desired pitch is shown and the center of the meter is highlighted.

A bar appears to the left if the tuning is too low and a bar appears to the right if it is too high. The longer the bar is the more out of tune the instrument is.

The built-in oscillator can output a tone for tuning through the built-in speaker or the /LINE OUT jack. The tuning pitch can be set in a three-octave range (C3–B5). OSC.appears in the upper right.

In addition to the CALIBitem described above, the oscillator mode has the three other setting items that follow. Press the TUNER button to cycle through the setting items.

OSC NOTE

Set the pitch of the tuning tone (C3–B5).

OSC LEVEL

Set the output level of the tone between 0 and 10 (default value 7).
