Recording a few seconds before pushing the record button (pre- recording)

The unit can capture up to 2 seconds of input signal during recording standby, allowing recording to start before the RECORD [º] button is pushed.

1.Press and hold the RECORD [º] button briefly to start recording standby. The RECORD [º] button indicator blinks, and the PRE ( ) icon appears on the display.

2.Press the RECORD [º] button again briefly to start recording. Input signal is recorded starting up to 2 seconds before the button was pushed.

The RECORD [º] button indicator lights when recording.

3.Press the [ª] button to stop recording.

To pause recording, press the RECORD [º] button. To resume recording to the same file, press the RECORD [º] button again.

Press the [ª] button after pausing to complete the creation of an audio file with the music recorded up to the moment that recording was paused.

TIP

Use this function in combination with the auto-recording function to record without missing the beginning of a performance.

NOTE

If the unit was put into recording standby less than 2 seconds before this function is used, recording will start from the time when recording standby was enabled.

Recording the input sound with the playback sound (overdubbing)

You can combine the input signal with the signal from an already recorded file being played back to record a new file. For example, you could record a new instrument part over an existing track.

 

NOTE

When overdubbing, You cannot use the auto-record or

 

manual file incrementation functions.

You cannot pause during overdubbing. (The RECORD [º]

 

button does not respond if pushed.)
