6–Working with Files and Folders (BROWSE screen)

Audio file ( )

This icon appears before the names of audio files.

Folder ( )

This icon shows folders that contain subfolders.

Folder ( )

This icon shows folders that do not contain subfolders.

Open folder ( )

The contents of the folder marked with this icon are currently shown on the screen.

File operations

Select the desired audio file on the BROWSEscreen, and press the Á button to open the following pop-up menu.

Use the §/BROWSE and ¶/MIC buttons to select the desired item, and press the Á button to execute one of the following operations.

PLAY

Play the file and reopen the Home Screen. If the playback area is set to “FOLDER”, the playback area becomes the folder that contains that file.

INFO

Show information (date, time and size) about the selected

file. Press the Á button again or press the [ª] button to return to the BROWSEscreen.

ADD LIST

Add the selected file to the playlist. (See “Playlist” on page 67.)

DELETE

A message appears to confirm that you want to delete the selected file. Press the Á button to delete the file and the [ª] button to cancel deletion.
