Adjusting the balance between playback and input signals

You can adjust the balance between the input sound of an instrument being played and the playback sound of a file.

Use the INPUT volume to adjust the level of the input signal, and press the BALANCE button to open the BALANCEitem and adjust the level of the playback signal.

Adjust the volume of the playback sound using the VALUE (+/–) buttons. The range is from “0” (minimum) to “20” (maximum), and the default value is “20”.

NOTE

The BALANCEsetting only affects the volume when MIC or

LINE is ON ( or ). When MIC or LINE is OFF ( or ), changing the BALANCEvalue has no effect on the

volume.

7–Playback

Disabling the MIC/LINE input

When you want to listen to just the playback signal, you can disable the MIC/LINE input to prevent any unwanted noise.

If you want to disable the MIC/LINE input (built-in microphones or LINE IN jack), press the/MIC button when the Home Screen is open so that the MIC or LINE icon appears

as dark letters on a light background ( or ).

Press the /MIC button again to enable the MIC/LINE input. The MIC/LINEicon appears as light letters on a dark

background ( or ) when input is enabled.

NOTE

If you turn the MIC/LINE input off ( or ), OFFappears in the level meter area.

When the MIC/LINE input is off ( or ), the BALANCE setting is canceled and the playback level returns to its original setting.
