The menus use a combination of onscreenreadout and multi-use buttons, in
conjunction with the ArrowButtons, to control most of themonitoring functions.
Menus are enteredby pressing one of the MENU, C ONFIG, or LINE SEL
buttons. Menus are exitedby pressing the entry button for the open menu, or by
entering anothermenu.
Menu operationand selections are detailed in Using the Menus starting on
page 2--15.
MENU. Pressing the MENU button togglesan operating menu on and off. An
operating menucontains monitoring selections that are specifically related to the
currentlyselected display mode.
Digitalmenus. Pressing and holding the MENU button while in WFM, VEC-
TOR, PICTURE, or WIP mode enters adigital operating menu Operating menus
are described in detail in Operating Menus starting on page 2--17.
CONFIG. Pressingthe CONF IGbutton toggles the Configuration menu on and
off. TheC onfigurationmenu contains selections which control overall instru-
ment monitoring operation.C onfigurationmenu selections are described in detail
in Configuration Menu starting on page2 --21.
LINESEL. Pressing the LINE SEL button toggles the Line S electmode on and
offand displays the Line Select menu (shown in Table 2--9on page 2--26).
BezelButt ons. The four unlabeledbuttons directly below the display are referred
to as the bezel buttons. These buttons are used for making menu selectionsand
are only enabledwhile menus are displayed on screen.
The function of the arrowbuttons is dependent on the currentstate of the
instrument. For the Waveformand Audio display modes, they control signal
positioning. For the Vectordisplay mode, they control vector phase, with the Y
and Bbuttons providing fine adjustment, andthe Aand "buttons providing
coarseadjustment.
The arrowbuttons retain their default function for the reduced display when the
Waveform-in-Picturedisplay mode is selected. When the Configuration menuis
displayed, the Yand Bbuttons operate the menu categoryselection, while the A
and "buttons retain their defaultfunction for the current display mode.
