Lorsque l’on branche l’appareil pour la première fois, un bip sonore est émis et le programme par défaut est affiché. « 1 3 00 » s’affiche sur l’écran. Le « 1 » précise quel programme a été sélectionné 1-12programmes et le « 3 00 » est la longueur du programme en heures minutes. Le marquage en haut de l’affichage indique le poids du pain sélectionné 1/1.5 livre ou 2 livres .4kg/.68kg o .91kg avec 2 livres .91kg par défaut. L’autre marquage en haut de l’écran indique le degré de cuisson de la croûte qui est sélectionné « LIGHT » léger, « MEDIUM » moyen, ou « DARK » foncé avec « MEDIUM « moyen comme réglage par défaut.
