4Repeat step 3 for each telephone to be configured. Configure at least two telephones for testing purposes.
5To exit the overlay, enter ****.
6Connect two telephones to either a phone line or a proper network connection, depending on the telephone type. Refer to the user guides specific to the telephones.
7Ensure that you have dial tone on both telephones, and check that you can dial one phone from the other.
Enabling card slots (LD 32)
If the MGATE card slots are not automatically provisioned, perform the following procedure to enable them.
Step Action
1Connect to the PBX.
2Enter LD 32.
3To display the status of the MGATE card, enter STAT n (where n is the card slot used by the MGATE).
For example: STAT 18.
4If the MGATE card is disabled, enter ENLC n (where n is the card slot used by the MGATE) to enable it.
For example: ENLC 18.
5Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each required MGATE card.
