You have put a telephone call on hold by pressing the

key: press the key again to resume the conversation

You have installed a disposable print cartridge for the first time or you have removed and reinstalled it: select the rel- evant answer. If you answer yes but the print cartridge is not new, the fax machine will not detect the out of ink condition.

You have engaged the line by lifting the handset of the tel- ephone connected.
