Beyond the Basics

Setting the Alarm Clock

Your fax machine can ring the alarm at your designated time, which you can program up to 24-hour in advance.

It will be ringing the alarm for one minute until you stop it by pressing stop. If the stop key is not pressed, it will attempt the alarm after three minutes. To program an alarm:

1.Press program, 7, mode/enter, 1, 2.

Set Alarm Clock

2.Press mode/enter.

Alarm Clock OFF

3.Now you tell the fax machine whether it rings the alarm. If not, press program until the display shows “OFF”, then press mode/enter.

If you want to ring the alarm at the designated time, press program to toggle to “ON” and press mode/enter.

Note: When turned “ON”, instruct your fax machine to complete your command at a specific time each day.

Time: 01:00

4.Use the numeric keypad to enter the hour and minute when you want to your fax machine to ring the alarm. The LCD displays time in 24-hour format --- for example, it would show 2:00 PM as 14:00.

Time: 23:30

If you want to change just one number in time, use the one-touch key a to move backward (leftward) in the sequence. Use the one-touch key b to move forward (rightward).

5. When finished, press mode/enter.

Confirmation Reports

Each time your fax machine transmits or receives, it can then print a confirmation report to let you know:

The date and time of the transmission

The receiving location

The number of pages transmitted

The result of the transmission.

This report can provide reassurance when you have vital information to transmit or receive.

The “Location” listing may be different from the number you called, or it may be blank: this information is part of the remote fax machine’s TTI. A successful transmission will appear in the Result column as “OK.” If a transmission fails, the report will include an explanation of the error and a corresponding error code. To turn on this feature:

1.Press program, 7, mode/enter, 0, 5.

Set Fax Report

2.Press mode/enter.

Fax Report OFF

3. To change the setting, press program.

Fax Report ON

4. Press mode/enter to select the desired setting.
