Answering Machine

You may now proceed to step 8.

However, if you’ve entered an incorrect passcode for this voice mail box, your fax machine will return to standby mode. This is how the fax protects voice mail box messages from unauthorized users. Go back to step 1 and repeat the operation.

8. Press erase.

Sure ?

The fax is giving you one chance to reconsider this erasure of all the messages in this voice mail box.

If you change your mind and decide not to erase, press play/stop.

If you wish to go ahead with the erasure, press erase again. The fax will erase all the messages in the mail box.

Note: The fax may pause briefly to reorganize any remaining voice messages stored in the answering machine.

To continue using the voice mail box system, follow the appropriate instructions for the specific operation you want to perform. Otherwise, press stop to cease voice mail box operation and return the fax to standby.

Accessing Your Voice Mail Box Remotely

Even when you’re away, you can call your fax machine from any touch-tone phone and use the voice mail box system to record, play and erase messages. (For more information, see “Remote Access to Voice Mail Box System,” pages 4.13-4.14).
