INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new appliance, please read this user guide carefully before using it for the first time. Take particular note of the safety precautions. We also recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference.

General
•Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury and damage.
•Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
•For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use.
•Do not immerse the appliance in water and make sure no water enters the appliance.
•Do not expose to direct sunlight, high temperatures, humidity, noise or corrosive substances.
•Never leave unattended when in use, and keep an eye on children.
•Only use accessories manufactured or recommended by the manufacturer.
Use
•This appliance must not be used to make medical diagnoses. It is suitable only for reference. Consult a doctor if your blood pressure readings seem abnormal.
•Always follow the procedure specified in these user instructions when taking readings.
•Do not stretch, twist or bend the cuff or the air hoses.
•Do not use the appliance on individuals who suffer from severe arrhythmia or other cardiac diseases.
•Do not use on babies or others who cannot communicate if the cuff is too tight, etc.
•Do not use in the vicinity of mobile phones or microwave ovens as these emit
•Do not use if not functioning properly, or if damaged by a heavy impact or similar.
•If the appliance, air hoses or cuff are damaged, have the appliance inspected and if necessary repaired by an authorised repairer. Never try to repair the appliance yourself. Please contact the store where you bought the appliance for repairs under guarantee. Unauthorised repairs or modifications to the appliance will invalidate the guarantee.
Batteries
•Check that the polarities of the batteries are facing in the right direction, as incorrectly fitted batteries can damage the appliance.
•Remove the batteries from the appliance if not used for an extended period of time.
•Always replace all batteries at the same time.
•Never mix different types of battery (e.g. manganese dioxide batteries and alkaline batteries), old and new batteries or different makes of batteries.
