User Guide for the Polycom CX700 IP Phone

During a call if you are using the handset, pressing the Volume key adjusts the handset volume.

During a call, if you are using the headset, pressing the Volume key adjusts the headset volume.

If you press the Volume key when not in call, the ringer volume is adjusted.

You can also adjust volume by selecting the Settings soft key and the Volume screen. Refer to Adjusting the Volume on page 2-7.

Placing Calls on Hold

During a call, press the Hold soft key. This will be indicated on the graphic display by the hold on the graphic display.

Press the Resume soft key again to resume the call.

As using the Hold feature typically generates music or a beeping tone, avoid putting a conference call on hold.

Hosting Conference Calls

You can initiate a conference call by selecting one or more contacts, by selecting a contact group, or by selecting a distribution group. You start a conference call as an initial phone call and then add more contacts. You can join two calls into one conference through the Merge Calls selection.
