Importante: Para que este producto resulte cómodo, seguro y efectivo, asegúrese de los siguiente:

•Durante las 2 primeras semanas de adiestramiento, no ponga el dispositivo del sistema a su mascota sin supervisión directa.

•Compruebe el ajuste del collar receptor para evitar una presión excesiva. Debe poder insertar un dedo entre el punto de contacto y la piel de su mascota.

•No deje nunca el collar receptor puesto en su mascota durante más de 12 horas consecutivas.

•Debe examinar cada día a su mascota para ver si tiene alguna señal de herida o sarpullido.

•Si se observa una herida o un sarpullido deje de usar el collar receptor durante unos pocos días.

•Si la condición persiste durante más de 48 horas, vaya a ver al veterinario.

•El cuello de su mascota y los puntos de contacto se deben lavar semanalmente con un paño mojado y jabón de manos suave, después se deben enjuagar bien.

Una afección llamada necrosis por presión, que es una desvitalización de la piel debida a un contacto excesivo y prolongado contra los puntos de contacto, puede tener lugar si no se siguen los puntos mencionados anteriormente.

Sea paciente con su mascota

Importante: El adiestramiento correcto de su mascota es esencial para el éxito del sistema In-Ground Fence™ de PetSafe®. Lea esta sección completamente antes de empezar a entrenar a su mascota. Recuerde que el sistema In-Ground Fence de PetSafe® no es una barrera sólida.

•Diviértase con su mascota a lo largo del proceso de adiestramiento. El adiestramiento debe ser divertido, justo, firme y coherente.

•Adiestre durante 10 a 15 minutos cada vez. No intente hacer demasiado demasiado rápido. Las sesiones cortas más frecuentes son mejores que las sesiones más largas y menos frecuentes.

•Si su mascota muestra signos de tensión, reduzca la programación del adiestramiento, añada más días o aumente la cantidad de tiempo de juego con su mascota en la zona autorizada. Las señales de tensión habituales incluyen:

-La mascota tira de la correa hacia la casa

-Orejas plegadas

-Cola hacia abajo

-Cuerpo bajado

-Movimiento nervioso / frenético o agarrotamiento del cuerpo de la mascota

•Su mascota debe estar completamente cómoda cerca de los banderines al final de cada sesión de adiestramiento. Pase al menos 5 minutos de "tiempo de juego" al terminar cada sesión dentro del área de 3 m (10 pies) de los banderines.

•Termine cada sesión de adiestramiento poniendo una una nota positiva con un montón de alabanzas y juegos.

•Quite el collar receptor después de cada sesión de adiestramiento.

•Asegúrese de tener retenida a su mascota por otros medios durante el período de adiestramiento (p. ej. parque, atado, correa, etc.).

•Durante el adiestramiento, si necesita sacar a la mascota fuera de la zona autorizada, quite el collar receptor y coja a la mascota o póngala en el coche para salir de la zona autorizada.

•Incluso si piensa que su mascota está respondiendo bien al adiestramiento, complete todo el proceso. ¡El refuerzo es importante!

Día 1 - Conocimiento de los banderines

Lleve a cabo tres sesiones el primer día, cada sesión de adiestramiento debe durar 10-15 minutos.

Objetivo:

Hacer que su perro aprenda que los banderines y la señal acústica de advertencia del collar receptor definen la nueva zona autorizada.

Preparación:

•Programe el collar receptor al nivel nº 2 o nº 3, dependiendo del tamaño y el temperamento de su mascota, y colóquelo en el cuello de la mascota.

•Ponga un collar no metálico separado en el cuello de su mascota POR ENCIMA del collar receptor y fije una correa. Nota:Asegúrese de que el collar extra no ejerce presión sobre los puntos de contacto.

•Tenga golosinas para perros que le gusten a su perro disponibles.

•Tenga su juguete favorito disponible.
