Measurement Operations & Settings Measurement Functions The SENSe Subsystem
96 Agilent 8163A/B, 8164A/B & 8166A/B Mainframes, Fifth Edition
example: sens1:func:par:minm? WIND,+10<END>
affects: All power meters and return loss module s
dual sensors: Can only be sent to master channel, sl ave channel parameters are identical.
Setting parameters for the stability function sets some parameters,
including hidden parameters, for the logg ing and MinMax functions and
vice versa. You must use the
:SENSe[n][:CHANnel[m]]:FU NCtion:PARameter:STABility command to set
parameters before you star t a stability function using the
:SENSe[n][:CHANnel[m]]:FUNC tion:STATe command.
NOTE
command: :SENSe[n][:CHANnel[m]]:FUNCtion:PARameter:STABility
syntax: :SENSe[n][:CHANnel[m]]:FUNCti on:PARameter:STABility<wsp>
<total time>[NS|US|MS|S],<period time>[NS|US|MS|S],<averaging time>[NS|US|MS|S]
description: Sets the total time, period time, and averaging time for the stability data acquisition function.
parameters: Total time:
Period time:
Averaging time:
The total time from the start o f stability mode until it is completed.
A new measurement is started after the completion of every period t ime.
A measurement is averaged over the averaging time.
NOTE The total time should be longer than the period time.
The period time should be longer than the averaging time.
The number of data points is equal to the total time divided by the period time.
Total time, period time, and averaging time are time value s in seconds.
If you specify no units in your comma nd, seconds are used as the default.
NOTE See :SENSe[n][:CHANnel[m]]:FUNCtion:STATe” on page 100 for information on startin g/stop-
ping a data acquisition function.
NOTE See :SENSe[n][:CHANnel[m]]:FUNCtion:RESult?” on page 97 for inform ation o n acce ssing t he
results of a data acquisition function.
NOTE See “Triggering and Power Measurements” on page 171 for information on how triggering af-
fects data acquisition functions .
