Saving Measurement Results
If you select , , or , the data
is stored to disk in IEEE-64 bit real format (for LIF disks), and 32 bit PC format for
DOS disks. This makes the DOS data files half the size of the LIF files.
NOTE Selecting may also store data to disk in the S2P ASCII
data format. See "ASCII Data Formats" on page 4-41.
If you select , the user graphics area is saved. (Refer to the
programmer’s guide for information on using display graphics.) The measurement
display is not saved with this selection. (Refer to "If You Are Plotting Measurement
Results to a Disk Drive" on page 4-13 to plot measurement displays to disk.)
If data array is saved along with any other selected array, the
instrument state is not saved, and therefore, cannot be recalled.
6. Choose the type of format you want:
Choose for all applications except CITIfile, S2P, or CAE
applications.
Choose for CITIfile, S2P, and CAE applications or when you
want to import the information into a spread sheet using comma-separated values
(CSV) format.

ASCII Data Formats
CITIfile
CITIfile (Common Instrumentation Transfer and Interchange file) i s an ASCII data fo rmat
that is useful when exchanging data between different computers and instruments.
CITIfiles are always saved when the ASCII format has been selected as shown:
