SECURE DRAIN

HOSE TO DRAIN

Remove drain hose from shipping
position on rear of washer by
unhooking hose from retainer
clamp. Use beaded tie-down
strap to secure “hook” end of drain
hose to standpipe, wall inlet hoses,
or laundry tub (must hold at least 20
gallons).
IMPORTANT: T o prevent siphoning,
do not place ribbed portion of drain
hose into standpipe. Avoid air-tight
seal around standpipe adapter.
For standpipe installation below 36"
(91.4 cm), install Siphon Break Kit
part #562P3.
For standpipe installation above 48"
(121.2 cm), install a check valve to
prevent water from flowing back
into washer. Available from local
hardware store.
