a “remote trigger” so that when you turn it on, your AVU1500 will automatically power on all the switched outlets; when you turn your preamp off, the AVU1500 will power off all the switched outlets. It’s much easier to turn your preamp on and automatically trigger your amplifier and subwoofer to power on (as well as any other device plugged into a switched outlet), instead of having to turn on (and off) each and every device one by one.
