Cause	Action
Paper Feed	You may need to clean the Paper Feed Rollers.
Roller is dirty.	Follow the procedure below.
(Auto Sheet	Cleaning the Paper Feed Roller of the Auto Sheet
Feeder)	Feeder consumes it, so perform this procedure
	only when necessary.
	(1) Ensure that the printer is turned on.
	If the paper is loaded in the printer, remove the
	paper.
	(2) Open the Front Feeder and extend the
	Paper Output Support.
	(3) Hold down the RESUME/CANCEL
	button; when the POWER lamp flashes
	green three times, release the button.
	The Paper Feed Roller will rotate as it cleans.
	(4) Repeat step 3 twice.
	(5) Load three or more sheets of A4 or Letter-
	sized plain paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder.
	Set the Paper Thickness Lever to the left.
	(6) Hold down the RESUME/CANCEL
	button; when the POWER lamp flashes
	green three times, release the button.
	The paper that is loaded in the printer will feed
	through the printer and be ejected.
	(7) Repeat step 6 three times.
	If repeating this procedure three times or more
	does not solve the problem, clean the surface of
	the roller with applying a slightly moisten cotton
	swab with water to wipe off dust or stain. If the
	problem still persists, contact a Canon service
	representative.
