Cleaning Your Printer

Cleaning the Inside of the Printer

If the printed paper is smudged, the inside of the printer may be dirty.

To always get best quality printing result, periodical cleaning of the inside of the printer is recommended.

You can clean this part in three ways:

See Cleaning the Paper Feed Rollers.

See Cleaning with the Printer Driver (Bottom Plate cleaning). See Cleaning the Protrusions Inside the Printer.

Important

When using Photo Paper Plus Double Sided PP-101D, be sure to clean the inside of the printer before printing.

Cleaning the Paper Feed Rollers

If paper is not fed properly, clean the paper feed rollers. Follow the procedure below.

Cleaning the Paper Feed Roller of the Auto Sheet Feeder

Cleaning the Paper Feed Roller of the Auto Sheet Feeder consumes it, so perform this procedure only when necessary.

1 Ensure that the printer is turned on.

If the paper is loaded in the printer, remove the paper.

2 Open the Front Feeder and extend the Paper Output Support.

3 Hold down the RESUME/CANCEL button; when the POWER lamp flashes green three times, release the button.
