Printing

To print a job from a Macintosh software application, first select the printer then use the Print command in the File menu.

z For more details about print software functions, refer to the Setup Guide.

z Once you select this printer, reselection is not necessary for future print jobs. If you selected another printer previously, reselect this printer before printing.

Selecting the Printer

TMac OS 8.6/9.x

With Mac OS 8.6/9.x use the Chooser to select the printer. However, if the printer is switched off, or if the cable is disconnected, the name of the printer will not appear in the list. Be sure to check the status of the printer before starting a print job.

Note

z Occasionally you may not be able to share use of the printer when it is connected via USB. If this case, connect to the USB or IEEE 1394 board directly. If the printer is not shared, print from a Windows computer.
