Menu Item	Available Settings	Functions
Paper Adjust
		Use this menu to adjust the amount
Plain Paper, Coated Paper, Photo	Print Pattern A, Print Pattern B,	of feed for type of the media. If the
Pro, Glossy Paper, Glossy Paper 2,		printed image of “Pattern A” has
Matte Photo, Glossy Film, Quick	Adj. Setting	white streaks or dark streaks, set the
Dry Tran, Transparency, Special 1	:-28 ~ 0* ~ +28	adjustment value. For fine
~ Special 5, Proof A ~ Proof D		adjustment, print “Pattern B” and
		select the adjustment value.
Set Interface
		Allows selection Centronics for a
Interface Type	Centronics, USB*	parallel interface connection or USB
		for a USB connection.
Set Centronics
Trans. Speed	High Speed*, Medium Speed,	Allow selections for speed and
	Low Speed	format of bi-directional printing. A
		hard reset must be performed on the
Interactive	ECP*, Nibble, None
		printer to enable these settings.
Ext. Network
Init. Settings		Executes the initial settings for the
		“Ext. Network” menu.
	Frame Type: Disable, Ethernet II
	IP Mode: Manual*, Automatic
	Protocol	Allows selections to set up the TCP/
	DHCP: On*, Off	IP network information for the
Set TCP/IP	BOOTP: On*, Off	network interface board. After
	RARP: On*, Off	selecting a setting for each TCP/IP
	IP Setting	item, execute “Regis. Settings” to
	IP Address	enable the values selected.
	Subnet Mask
	Default G/W
		Registers the TCP/IP settings
Regis. Settings		selected above for the network
		interface board.
Maint. Setup
		Determines whether or not the
Cleaning at ON	On*, Off	printhead is cleaned when the printer
		is powered on.*1
Panel Reset
		Initializes the operation panel menus
Panel Reset		and restores the default settings. A
		panel reset does not affect the “Ext.
		Network” settings.

*1. If the date and time setting of the computer where the printer is connected are not correct, the printhead may clean itself too frequently and waste ink. Make sure that all the date and time settings on the computer are correct.
