Code - Board Type or Error Code - When the ERR bit is set to one, this byte will contain a catastrophic error code. If the ERR bit is zero, the code byte will contain the Ciprico board type.
02 ⇒ Any Ciprico VME/SCSI product. Other than 02 ⇒ Catastrophic Error Code.
There are several catastrophic error codes:

To access the Status Port, use an offset of 10H from the base address of the adapter (which is set by jumpers on the board).
