Configure Wireless Settings

Wireless Basic Settings Page Description

Use the following table to configure the basic settings for wireless communication for the residential gateway. After you make your selections, click Save Settings to apply your changes or Cancel Changes to cancel.

Wireless Network

 

 

Enable or Disable the wireless network.

 

 

 

 

 

Wireless Configuration

 

 

The default is WPS. Select Wi-Fi Protected Setup to set up your

 

network using this option. The Wi-Fi Protected Setup feature

 

automatically configures an encryption-secured, wireless network.

 

To use Wi-Fi Protected Setup, you must have at least one other

 

device that supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup in your network. After

 

you have configured your Wi-Fi Protected Setup devices, you can

 

manually configure other devices

Network Mode

Choose one of these options for the network mode:

G only, B/G Mixed, B/G/N Mixed (factory default)

Important: When TKIP authentication only is selected, B/G/N

Mixed network mode is not available.

Radio Band

Select Enabled 2.4 GHz (factory default) or Enabled 5 GHz.

Note: The 5 GHz radio band may not be supported on some models.

Channel Width

Choose Standard - 20 MHz Channel or Wide 40 MHz Channel.

Standard Channel

Select one of the channels from the drop-down list to correspond with your network settings. All devices in your wireless network must broadcast on the same channel in order to communicate. You can select Auto (factory default) for automatic channel selection.
