[Outline] This command defines the download alphenumerals or Katakana. s denotes the number of
bytes in the verti cal direction, n the start cha racter code, and m the end char acter code,
respectively. Whendefi ning only one character, setn = m.
The 224 ASCII codec haracters, 32to 255, are definable. a specifies the numberof dots in
thehorizontal directionto be defined. p ist hedata you want to define andshows the a -dots
worth of pattern in the horizontal direction from the left edge. Theremaining pattern on the
right side will be a spa ce. Once the downloa d characters are defined, the yr emain valid
until they are redefined or the download deletioncom mand (ESC DC2 n1 n2) is executed.
[Default] Sameas the internal character set.
[Caution] The horizontally adjacent dots cannot be printed. The 2nd-byte data in the vertical
direction is valid only fo r the most significant bit.
