SNMP Daemon Settings
Short for Simple Network Management Protocol, SNMP is a set of protocols for managing complex networks. SNMP works by sending messages, called protocol data units (PDUs), to different parts of a network.
The ACS uses the
Management Protocol including an extensible agent, an SNMP library, tools to request or set information from SNMP agents, tools to generate and handle SNMP traps, a version of the unix 'netstat' command using SNMP and a
Tk/perl mib browser.
SNMP is configured with community names, OID and user names. ACS supports SNMPv1, v2 and v3. The two versions require different
