Touch-Screen Control Board (Optional)

CAUTION: Only a certified service technician should perform repairs on your computer. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty.

CAUTION: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on your computer).

Removing the Touch-Screen Control Board

1Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 11.

2Remove the back cover. See "Removing the Back Cover" on page 19.

3Disconnect the cables from the connectors on the touch-screen control board.

4Remove the two screws that secure the touch-screen control board to the chassis.

5Lift the touch-screen control board away from the chassis.
