1.7 FACTORY RETURNS
Repair service is normally available through local authorized EFJohnson Land Mobile Radio Service Centers. If local service is not available, the equipment can be returned to the factory for repair. However, it is recommended that you contact the Customer Service Department before returning equipment because a service representative may be able to suggest a solu- tion to the problem so that return of the equipment would not be necessary.

Be sure to fill out a Factory Repair Request Form #271 for each unit to be repaired, whether it is in or out of warranty. These forms are available free of charge by calling Customer Service (see Section 1.6) or by requesting them when you send a unit in for repair. Clearly describe the difficulty experienced in the space provided and also note any prior physical damage to the equipment. Then include a form in the shipping container with each unit.
