
3.Type DEVICE=EMM386.SY S and press Enter. You can
add one or more of the optional switches explained in the next section to this command line.
4.Press F6 and then Enter.
5.Reset the computer.
Using EMM386.SYSEMM386SYS is an expanded memory manager that lets you use extended memory to emulate expanded memory so that you can use application programs that support LIM EMS.
Note
Do not use EMM386.SYS if you installed an expanded memory option card. Use the device driver that came with the memory card. See the documentation that came with the card for instructions.
The full syntax for the command line that activates
EMM386SYS is:

The d:path parameter specifies the pathname. You specify the pathname if the file EMM386.SYS is not in the root directory of the hard disk or diskette from which you load
