To tear off and eject overlapping multi-part forms withlabels

Always tear off and eject overlapping multi-part forms with

labels by following the procedure below.

Note:

In mode, the Tear Off button is disabled and the Load/Eject

button only feeds forms forward.

1. At the back of your printer, tear off the last overlapping

multi-part form that has entered the pr inter.

2. Press the

LF/FF button to eject the last overlapping multi-part

forms with labels forward.

3. To print on another type of paper, press the Paper Select

button to select and make sure the # message

appears on the control panel display.

cCaution:

Do not leave overlapping multi-part forms with labels loaded

in the printer between print jobs; they tend to curl and may

come off their backing sheet and jam the printer when you

resume printing.

Paper handling Single sheets loaded from the paper guide The printer does not load single-sheets of paper. The platen does not rotate and the printer does not feed the paper. The platen rotates but the printer does not feed the paper. Paper feeding is crooked or the paper jams. 8-10 The printer does not fully eject the paper. When the printer ejects the paper, the Paper Out flashes and the Pause light comes on. Continuous paper The printer does not load continuous paper. Paper feeding is crooked or the paper jams. 8-12 The top-of-form position of your continuous paper varies when you print several pages. The printer prints on (or too far away from) the perforation of your continuous paper. The printer does not eject your continuous paper properly. 8-14 Page The cut-sheet feeder feeds more than one sheet at a time. Paper feeding is crooked. 8-16 When the printer ejects the paper, the Paper Out flashes and the Pause light comes on. One page of your document is printed on two pages. Operation The Pause light is off but the printer does not print. The Paper Out and Pause lights are on and the printer does not print. Printout Part of the printout is missing, or dots are missing in random positions. Lines of dots are missing in the printout as shown below. w 8-20 Incorrect characters are printed. The typestyles or characters set in your application software cannot be printed. Printing starts too high or too low on the page. All the text is printed on the same line.
