Using the background monitoring icon

A printer-shap ed background mon itoring icon app ears on the

taskbar after you install the Status Monitor.

Double-clicking the background monitoring icon opens the

EPSON Status Monitor 2 window. Right-clicking this icon

opens a pop-up menu where you can choose to have the Status

Alert displayed in front of other windows on the desktop. This

pop-up menu also allows you to turn off the background

monitoring feature.

If you turn off background monitoring, the background

monitoring icon disappears from the taskbar. To turn

background monitoring back on, open the Settings menu in the

EPSON Status Monitor 2 window, point to Background

Monitoring and select Monitor from restart or Monitor now.

Note:

The background monitoring feature must be turned on before you can

set monitoring preferences for printers in the Installed Printers list.

Paper handling Single sheets loaded from the paper guide The printer does not load single-sheets of paper. The platen does not rotate and the printer does not feed the paper. The platen rotates but the printer does not feed the paper. Paper feeding is crooked or the paper jams. 8-10 The printer does not fully eject the paper. When the printer ejects the paper, the Paper Out flashes and the Pause light comes on. Continuous paper The printer does not load continuous paper. Paper feeding is crooked or the paper jams. 8-12 The top-of-form position of your continuous paper varies when you print several pages. The printer prints on (or too far away from) the perforation of your continuous paper. The printer does not eject your continuous paper properly. 8-14 Page The cut-sheet feeder feeds more than one sheet at a time.
