Connecting the notebook to the Port Replicator

If you connect the notebook to the Port Replicator during operation, problems can occur. We recommend that you switch off the notebook beforehand.

The mains adapter must be connected to the Port Replicator when the notebook is connected to the Port Replicator.

We recommend that the notebook is not operated with the LCD screen closed when the notebook is connected to the Port Replicator. The resulting overheating can cause reduced performance and increased activity of the integrated fan.

Switch the notebook off.

Remove the mains plug for the mains adapter from the mains socket.

Disconnect the mains adapter cable from the DC socket (DC IN) of the notebook.

The Port Replicator must be adjusted to the size of your notebook. To do this, the device marked in grey in the diagram must be moved from position A to position B on the Port Replicator:

Hold the device at the positions marked with (1).

Slide the device in the direction of the arrow (2) first slightly to the left and then away from yourself until it engages in position B.

Place the notebook onto the Port Replicator (3) and ensure that it locks into place correctly.
