When communicating via an asynchronous serial data port
When communicating via the parallel port, the previously mentioned parameters are not considered. Refer to Chapter 2 starting on page 23 to configure the communication parameters for the XiII printer. The values selected must be the same as those used by the host equipment connected to the XiII printer.
