WARNING
SKIN INJECTION HAZARD
High-pressure fluid from dispensingdevice, hose leaks, or ruptured components will pierce
skin. This may look like just a cut, but it is a serious injury that can result in amputation. Get
immediate surgical treatment.
Engage trigger lock when not dispensing.
Do not point dispensing device atanyone or at any part of the body.
Do not put your hand over the fluid outlet.
Do not stop or deflect leaks with your hand, body, glove, or rag.
Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure when you stop dispensing and before cleaning,
checking, or servicing equipment.
Tighten all fluid connectionsbefore operating the equipment.
Check hoses and couplingsdaily. Replaceworn or damaged parts immediately.
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD
Flammable fumes, suchas solvent and paint fumes, in work area can ignite or explode. To help
prevent fire and explosion:
Use equipment only in well ventilatedarea.
•Donotl
l fuel tank while engine isrunning or hot; shut off engine and let it cool. Fuel is
flammable and can ignite or explode if spilled on hot surface.
Eliminate all ignitionsources; such as pilot lights, cigarettes, portable electric lamps, and
plastic drop cloths (potential staticarc).
Keep work area free of debris, includingsolvent, rags and gasoline.
Do not plug or unplug power cords, or turn lightswitches on or off when flammable fumes
are present.
Ground all equipment inthe work area. See Grounding instructions.
Use only grounded hoses.
•Holdg
un firmly to side of groundedpail when triggering into pail.
If there is static sparking or youfeel a shock, stop operation immediately. Do not use
equipment until you identifyand correct the problem.
Keep a working fire extinguisherin the work area.
THERMAL EXPANSION HAZARD
Fluids subjectedto heat in confined spaces, including hoses, can create a rapid rise in pressure
due to the thermalexpansion. Over-pressurizationcan result in equipment rupture and serious
injury.
Open a valve to relieve the fluidexpansion during heating.
Replace hoses proactively at regular intervals based on your operating conditions.
