UPDATING CONTROL INFORMATION OF DVD-RAM DISC

(UPDATE CONTROL INFO.)

Disc Navigation in this DVD video camera/recorder handles intkgrmation on scenes, such as
thumbnail, skip, fi_de, in a particular manner. If you use another device to edit a disc recorded on this
DVD video camera/recorder, and then use tile data again with Disc Navigation in this DVD video
camera/recorder, tile Disc Navigation may not appear normally. If this happens, use tile Update
Control Into t\mction to update the data.
Before You Begin
•When using the AC adapter/charger to power the DVD video camera!
recorder for updating control information, make sure that power isnot
turned offduring updating: Ifthe DVDvideo camera!recorder is turned
off during updating and the updating is interrupted, the control
information will not be updated correctly.

Press the DISC NAVIGATION button.
Press the MENU button.
Use "Operating Menu" (p.64) to choose
"tIpdate Control Into." on the "Disc" menu
screen, and then press tile I_/|| button.
Note:
• Itmay take time to update the control information if
the disc has many recorded scenes.
• Even ifcontrol informationis updated, some discs wilt
be unusable on Disc Navigation of this DVD video
camera/recorder
Tile screen tk_rverifying "Update Control
In%." will appear.
4Choose "YES", and then
press the IP'/II button.
Tile message %r
proceeding will appear,
and then the Disc
Navigation menu
screen will be restored.
Ablack screen may appear while the message
fbr updating isdisplayed.
Choose "NO" tocancel updating.
