Wben recording with tile LCD screen f_cing tile same direction as tile
lens, tile operating status will appear: The battery remaining level will
appear only when the remaining level isvery low, and tile display will
blink.
Tile fiallowing operating status indicator will light or blink togive
warning message to usei: The message can be checked when returning
the LCD monitor 180oto the original status fi'om the status in which tile
LCD screen was R_cing the same direction astile lens.
No warning/message (see page 52) will appear when recording with the LCD screen ti_cing tile same
direction as tile lens.
Instead, the tbllowing screen display symbols will blink toint5rm you of tile operation status of
DVD video camera/recordet_
When the LCD monitor isturned 180° from tile position with tile LCD screen tilcing tile same
direction as tile lens, the warning/message can be cbecked.
elnterpreting symbols on LCD screen when recording with the screen

• A write-protected disc is loaded.
• A locked card is loaded.
• An unusable card is loaded.
• An attempt to record astill is being made with a DVD-R disc
used.
• An unusable disc is loaded.
• During recording (lights in red).
• The remaining capacity on disc is approaching thelimit 0(blinks
in red).
• During recording pause (lights ingreen).
• During focus lock (lights in purple).
• The remaining capacity on disc or card isapproaching the limit0
(blinks in red).
• There isno remaining capacity on disc or card (blinks in green).
• An attempt to record acopy-guarded image is being made
(blinks in green).

Note:
•Ifthe LCD screen is set facing the same direction asthe lens, the LCD screen will display a mirror image (left and
right reversed) H
• Ifthe LCD screen isset facing the same direction asthe lens, you can also view subject image inthe viewflnder.
• Although you can switch to the manual focus,exposure andon-screen display modes even during recording with
LCD screen facing the same direction as lens, they will not appear onthe screen
• When the LCD monitor is opened and turned 180owith the Program AE set to Low Light, the monitor screen will
light white (see page 87)
