Unpacking and Setting Up Your RAID Array 410 Subsystem Components

This chapter describes the site preparation and unpacking procedures for the RAID Array 410 Subsystem. It also describes the procedure to recharge the controller write-back cache batteries.

1.1Site Preparation

Before installing the enclosure, make sure that adequate space is available in front of the en- closure for opening the front door (19 inches clearance) and around the enclosure for ade- quate airflow. See Figure 1–1 for specific space requirements.
