2.2.1 1KA BOARD (USER I/F BOARD)
1. This is the user I/F board used for storing taught pose data, user program data, etc. in
memory. Before rep lacing the board, be sure to save all data to storage media such as
PCCARD, FDD, etc. For more details about data saving procedures, refer to the
Operation Manual, a separate volume.
2. After completion of data saving, turn OFF the control power.
3. Press the red button on the ejector of the 1KA board to release the lock, and pull out the
1KA from the card rack by extending the ejector up and down.
4. When replacing only the 1KA, disassemble daughter boards, 1KK, 1KN/1QN and
1KJ/1QJ, by removing their connecting screws to the 1KA and then the daughter boards.
5. Confirm that settings for SW1 and SW2 on the new 1KA are the same as before board
replacement. For the daughter boards disassembled in step 4, reassemble them to the
new 1KA.
6. Insert the new 1KA to the card rack and set it in the mother board.
7. Turn ON the SW2-8 on the 1KA.
8. Turn ON the control power. When the initialization prompt is displayed on the teach
pendant display, select “999: Initialization of all data”.
9. When the confirmation query for initialization is displayed, select “1: YES”.
10. After completion of initialization, load all data saved before board replacement to the
1KA. For more details about data loading procedure, refer to the Operation Manual, a
separate volume.
11. Turn OFF the SW2-8 on the 1KA.
