show loginsession | Displays all of the login session information | |
config users passwd <user> | Allows the user to set passwords or change passwords needed to | |

| log in. |

| A prompt appears requesting the users old password. In the |
|
| absence of an old password leave the area blank. The operator |
|
| must press enter to execute the command. |
|
| The system then prompts the user for a new password then a |
|
| prompt to confirm the new password. If the new password and the |
|
| confirmed password match a message is displayed. |
|
|
|
save config |
| This command saves passwords and all other changes to the |
|
| device. |
|
| If you do not issue this command, all configurations will be lost |
|
| when a power cycle is performed on the switch or when the switch |
|
| is reset. |
logout |
| Logs the user out of the switch |
Quick Startup IP Address
To view the network parameters the operator can access the device by the following three methods.
•Simple Network Management Protocol - SNMP
•Telnet
•Web browser
Note: Helpful Hint - do a save config after changing the network parameters so that the configurations are not lost.
