Command Details

transfer upload mode xmodem Changes mode to xmodem which is initiated by the

serial EIA 232 port

transfer upload datatype

<config|errorlog|systemtrace|traplog> The types are:

config - configuration file

errorlog - error log

system trace - system trace

traplog - trap log

transfer upload start This starts the upload and also displays the mode of

uploading and the type of upload it is and confirms

the upload is taking place.

For example:

If the user is using HyperTerminal, the user must

specify where the file is going to be received by the

PC.

Command Details

transfer download mode xmodem Makes the download mode to be xmodem

transfer download datatype <config/code> Sets the download datatype to be an image or

config file.

The default is a code file.

transfer download start For example:

If the user is using HyperTerminal, the user must

specify which file is to be sent to the switch.

The Switch restarts automatically once the code

has been downloaded.
