The cordless handset will not
turn ON.
LMake sure that the batteries are installed correctly (page 16).
LFully charge the batteries (page 18).
LClean the charge contacts and charge again (page 18).
I have changed the cordless
handset display language to a
language I cannot read.
LChange the cordless handset display language (page 58).
w is flashing. LThe cordless handset is not registered to the base unit. Register it (page
59).
LThe cordless handset is too far from the base unit. Move closer.
LThe power cord is not connected. Check the connections.
The cordless handset does
not ring.
LThe night mode feature is turned ON. Turn it OFF (page 24).
LThe ringer volume is turned OFF. Adjust it (page 19).
The batteries should be
charging but the battery icon
does not change.
LClean the charge contacts and charge again (page 18).
A busy tone is heard when
{C} is pressed.
LThe cordless handset is too far from the base unit. Move closer and try
again.
LThe base unit or another cordless handset is on an outside call. Wait for the
other user to complete the call.
Static, sound cuts in/out,
fades. Interference from other
electrical units.
LPlace the cordless handset and the base unit away from other electrical
appliances.
LMove closer to the base unit.
Noise is heard during a call. LYou are using the handset or base unit in an area with high electrical
interference. Place the handset and base unit away from interference
sources, such as antennas and mobile phones.
The cordless handset stops
working while being used.
LDisconnect the power cord and turn OFF the cordless handset to reset the
unit. Connect the power cord, turn ON the cordless handset and try again.
I assigned a phonebook item
to a desired category, but
category ringtones will not
sound.
LYou must subscribe to Caller ID service.
LSet to TEL mode, TAM/FAX mode or FAX ONLY mode to use SMS features.
I cannot redial by pressing
{R}.
LIf the redialled number was more than 2 4 digits long, the number wil l not be
redialled. Redial the number manually.
Mute does not turn off after
the line is connected.
LPress {C/T}.
7 flashes or the cordless
handset beeps intermittently
while it is in use.

I fully charged the batteries,
but 7 still flashes.

LYou dialled a call restricted number. Remove the number from the call
restricted list (page 58).
LThe key lock feature is turned ON. Turn it OFF (page 22).
