Wireless network connection
When you turn on the handset, it searches for available wireless networks in range. After
searching, the handset attempts to connect to the registered network first, and then, to any
open network if “Auto-connect to open networks list” (page 116) is set.
The wireless network settings can be registered in the preferred networks list.
You can manage the preferred networks list.
You can also use some network features, viewing current network status, finding the
networks and selecting the desired network manually.

View wireless network status

You can view the wireless network status of the handset.
1While in the Idle mode, press {Options}.

Status Show the network is connected or not.
Name Show the network name (SSID) when network is
connected.
When connected the base unit, it is displayed as “Base
unit
Security Show the wireless security type when network is
connected.
Channel Show the wireless channel.
IP address Show the IP address of the handset.
Subnet mask Show the subnet mask of the handset.
Default gateway Show the default gateway of the handset.
DNS server Show the IP address(es) of the DNS server(s).
Base unit Show the IP address of the base unit when connected
to the base unit.
