LWireless networks in range are displayed.
3Select the desired network. i {Connect}
LWhen you select an open network, skip to step 6.
LWhen you select a secure network which is already registered in your preferred
networks list, skip to step 6.
4Enter the network key. i {OK}
For WEP security network:
LEnter the network key containing 5 alphanumeric or 10 hexadecimal characters for
WEP 64bit or 13 alphanumeric or 26 hexadecimal characters for WEP 128bit.
For WPA-PSK(TKIP) or WPA2-PSK(AES) security network:
LEnter the network key containing between 8 and 63 alphanumeric characters or 64
hexadecimal characters, then skip to step 6.
5Select the key index. i {Select}
LMost of wireless networks use key index 1.
6The handset attempts to connect the network. After a network connection is completed,
you are required to sign in to Skype if you have not signed in yet.
LIf failed, error message is displayed, then press {OK} to return to step 3.
Note:
LIn step 3, you can also press {Options}. iConnecti {Select}
LIn step 3, when you select an open network, the prompt message to confirm whether
you want to connect or not may be shown. If you do not want the prompt message to be
shown, you can set “Auto-connect to open networks”. See “Auto-connect to
open networks” on page 116 for details.
LIn step 4, the wireless network you selected supports multiple security types, you are
required to select a security type. Select the desired security type. i {Select} i
Enter the network key. i {OK}
LWhen the connection to a secure network succeeded and your preferred networks list
isn’t full, the network is automatically registered in your preferred networks list.
LWhen the connection to a secure network succeeded and your preferred networks list is
full, press {OK}. i Select a network to be deleted. i {Select} i {Yes}. Then the
new secure network is registered in your preferred networks list.
