3Configure the settings, then click [Save].

4Click [Restart].

LThe base unit automatically restarts and the Top Menu is displayed.

Note:

LYou need to register the handset to the base unit again when you change the network

name (SSID). See “Registering the handset” on page 133.

Setting Description

[Mode] LSelect your wireless network mode from the pull-down menu.

LIf you have both 802.11b and 802.11g wireless devices in

your network, select [802.11b/g].

LIf you have only 802.11b wireless devices, select [802.11b]

[Channel] LSelect [Auto] or the desired channel from 1 to 11.

[Network Name

(SSID)]

LEnter your wireless network name (SSID) (1 – 32

alphanumeric characters) in this data field.

[SSID Broadcast] LEnable or disable the setting to broadcast your SSID.

LIf you select [Disable], only wireless devices that know the

SSID of the base unit can connect to the base unit.

LIf you select [Enable], any wireless device can detect the

SSID of the base unit.
